Michael “Mike” Evans of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, at his residence, at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 10 days. He was born Sunday, May 25, 1952 in Jackson, KY, son of the late Gordan L. & Martha Jo Callahan Evans.

He was united in marriage to Karen J. Phipps. Michael was a retired System Manager for the City of Nashville and was a United States Veteran, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Clayton Puryear.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen J. Evans; three children, Melissa & Shawn Hill of Winston, GA, Joshua Evans of LaGrange, KY, and Brandi & Chris Crable of Vine Grove, KY; one daughter-in-law, Chasity Puryear of Hazel Green, AL; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters and one brother, Deborah Perry of West Liberty, KY, Diana & Jhan Gevedon of Richmond, KY, and Chuck & Marcia Evans of Madisonville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Index Community Church Center., with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating.
