Obituary for Frances Ann Elam

Our Lord and Savior’s timing for Frances Ann Elam to pass over to her heavenly home on a beautiful evening was October 4, 2017.
Frances Ann Elam was born August 18, 1955 in Wurzburg, Germany to Howard Burns “Bill” & Ingeborg Maria Hasselbacher Elam.
Preceding her in death are her father, Howard Burns Elam, brother-in-law, Paul Woosley, and one niece, Karren Woosley.
Surviving is her mother, Ingeborg Hasselbacher Elam of West Liberty, KY, four sisters, Jacqueline Helen Elam Woosley of Orlando, FL, Susan Mayree Elam Blevins (Johnny W) of Grassy Creek, KY, Justine “Tina” Pearl Elam (Earl Hubbard) of Winchester, KY, Lisa Michelle Elam Collins (Paul) of West Liberty, KY and her four brothers, Howard B. Elam, Jr. (Judy), Karl Wyatt Elam (Lee), Michael Erwin Elam (Paula), and Robert Elam, all of West Liberty, KY. Frances had a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins here and her mother’s family of Germany and Australia.
Frances graduated from Morgan County High School in 1974 and later attended Morehead State University with an associate’s degree in drafting.
Frances’ testimony was strong and true in “Keep the Faith”. She was a member of Broadway Church of God in West Liberty, KY for over 40 years. Those who came in contact with her knew she worshiped her Lord in and out of church and wherever she was residing leaving a lasting testimony to many.
Her work history included babysitting, MSU library, Gateway Headstart, Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem (Retired), Wolfe County Nursing Home, and Lion Apparel (Retired).
Frances’ greatest joys was first and foremost spoiling her many nieces and nephews and any other babies. She was very competitive in playing games amongst family members and on her IPad. She took pride in her family and most of all her work. Her dearest co-workers knew how diligently she worked and how she so wanted to accomplish a job well done.
Amongst special friends are Penny and David Meece of Ohio, Tracie Banks and Barb Cantrell and many others of Lion Apparel, her caregiver Alice Bailey, and her Hospice caregivers, Bobbie, Jayna, and others.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Karl Elam and Bro. Gary Havens officiating. Burial to follow in the Old Elam Cemetery, Gose Branch Rd., Greer, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2017.
Pallbearers: Howard Elam, Jr., Mike Elam, Robert Elam, Paul David Woosley, H.B. Elam, James Elam, Darren Elam, and Zach Blevins.
Honorary Pallbearers: John W. Blevins, Paul Collins, Earl Hubbard, Steven Woosley, Corey Hubbard, Erich Collins, and other great nephews.
