Mary Kathleen Elliott of Clearfield, KY, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at Life Care Center, Morehead, KY, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, & 1 day. She was born Monday, February 9, 1942 at Wells Station, KY, daughter of the late Marvin Mayo & Etta Sexton Franklin.

Mary was united in marriage to Lowell Scott Elliott. This union was blessed with two children, Angela Shawn & Derrick Scott. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to care for her family and her home. She was a Christian and a member of the Clearfield Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin Franklin, James Franklin, and Sidney Franklin.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Lowell Scott Elliott; two children, Angela Shawn & Brian Chaffin of Gloucester, VA and Derrick Scott & Amanda Lee Elliott of Morehead, KY; six grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Jones, Whitley Jordan Jones, Kelsey Lauren Faith Jones, Kaitlyn McKenna Brooke Chaffin, Derrick Matthew Elliott, and Jaden Lea Elliott; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Potter Funeral Home with Bro. HG Pratt & Bro. Steve Stanley officiating. Burial to follow in the Easterling Cemetery, Lacy Creek, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home.
