Obituary for Corbett Elam

Corbett Glenn Elam of West Liberty, KY, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Morgan Co. ARH, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He was born Saturday March 2, 1935 at Index, KY, son of the late Corbett Lee and Carrye Hay Elam.

Corbett was united in marriage to Pattsy Ilene Whitt on December 29, 1958. This union was blessed with three children; He was a Carpenter, and a veteran of The United State Navy, Morgan County DAV organization, and attended the Church of God.

In addition to his father and mother Corbett Lee Elam and Carrye Hay Elam, he was preceded in death by two sisters Virginia Harrington and Bonnie Ritch.

Corbett is survived by his wife, Pattsy Whitt Elam; three children, Anthony Glenn and Sheila Elam, Ashland, KY, Kary Lee and Norma Elam, West Liberty KY, Michelle and Bruce Caldwell, West Liberty, KY: nine grandchildren, Tasha Elam Craft and Christopher, Meghan Cortney Howard, Alyssa Ryan Elam, Danielle Caldwell, Abigail Rayne Elam, Jennifer Fields, Michael Aaron Elam, John Raymond Woodward and Jason Chambers several great grandchildren, three sisters, Helen Vanwinkle of Knoxville, TN., Frances Pence of Lexington, KY., and Estelle Tyra of FL. one brother, James H. Elam of Winchester, KY. Also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 1 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. Karl Elam officiating. Burial in the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY, with Morgan County DAV to conduct military rites. Visitation Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the funeral home.
