Lillie Christine Tyler of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her daughter’s residence, at the age of 74 years, 7 months, and 4 days. She was born November 24, 1940 in Buskirk, KY, a daughter of the late Reed & Lucinda Perkins Smith.
Christine was united in marriage to William “Bill” Tyler. This union was blessed with two children, Rodney Ray & Mary Lou. She was a retired Sales Clerk at McAlpins Department Store.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bill Tyler; one granddaughter, Melissa Mann; and one brother, Grover Smith.
Christine is survived by two children, Rodney Ray Tyler of Grassy Creek, KY & Mary Lou Wenzel of Middletown, OH; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and five brothers, Ronald Smith of Grassy Creek, KY, Jim Smith of Wellington, KY, Sherman Smith, Hershel Smith, and Blackie Smith all of Grassy Creek, KY.
Funeral service 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Potter Funeral Home, with Bro. David Hinton officiating. Burial to follow in the Perkins Family Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation from 1 – 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Levi Burgin, Jonathan Tyler, Brian Tyler, John Mann, Glenn Brendel, and James Ewen.
